Android tester pricing — Play quota & Integrity
Guidance: Play Quota ~€99 (12–14 testers), Quality + events ~€200, optional Integrity. Publishers set campaign prices — no fixed per-tester platform fee.
On Tester Marketplace there is no single catalog price: each publisher publishes a campaign with a cap, days and rules, and sets the budget. Below are orientative packages so you know the order of magnitude before signing up. Use them to compare with DIY (Discord/friends), a QA agency or build-distribution tools — they are not a closed price list or a contract.
Orientative packages
- Play Quota (~€99) — about 12–14 testers to cover a typical closed-testing / controlled track quota, with basic measurable sessions.
- Quality + events (~€200) — more focus on named in-app events, session length and usage evidence to validate flows or retention — not just “on the list”.
- Integrity (optional) — enable Play Integrity on high-trust campaigns; cost depends on how you configure the campaign and integrate it in your build.
What each package includes
Both orientative packages cover marketplace operations: campaign publish, tester assignment, session logging and compliance review before payouts. The difference is how deep the rules you define go.
- Play Quota: bounded cap, short duration (e.g. 7 days), minimum sessions per day and minimum session length. Best when the main goal is covering a Play Console track requirement with evidence of real use — not only emails on a list.
- Quality + events: same foundations, plus named events (tutorial done, match started, test purchase, etc.) and stricter session thresholds. Fits when you want to validate flows or retention across builds.
- Integrity: not a separate catalog tier — a per-campaign switch. Adds device / environment attestation and usually more integration work in your APK/AAB.
Indie budget example
An indie studio preparing closed testing before production might sketch something like this (order of magnitude, not a quote):
- Play Quota campaign ~€99 — 12 testers, 7 days, 2 sessions/day of ~10–15 minutes. Enough to align the email list with the track and show sustained use.
- Second pass Quality + events ~€200 — after a soft launch or hotfix, with tutorial and D1/D3 retention events measurable in campaign telemetry.
- Integrity only if needed — e.g. if you already saw installs from unofficial builds or emulators in earlier betas.
In total, many indies cover a launch cycle with a few hundred euros of budget, versus a QA-agency engagement that often scales with hours of qualitative reporting. If your community already covers the quota for free, compare first with DIY vs marketplace.
Wallet and deposit
When you activate a campaign, budget is managed from the publisher wallet: you deposit balance (per your environment’s payment setup) and the campaign draws from that balance according to cap and rules. Testers get paid when they comply — or when you review and approve compliance — not merely for “being invited”. If you cancel or the cap is not filled, unused balance stays available for the next campaign per your account ledger rules.
There is no mandatory monthly subscription and no separate “loose tester” packs: the model is per campaign, aligned with releases and Play tracks.
What is NOT included
- Moderated UX reports or qualitative interviews — that remains your team or an agency.
- Replacing Google Play policies: track requirements and official quotas are your responsibility; always check Play Console docs.
- SDK / Integrity integration done for you: you instrument the build; we measure and verify tokens/events that reach the campaign.
- Lab devices or emulator farms: value is real users under measurable rules.
Transparency: who sets the price
The publisher sets the price when creating the campaign. Tester Marketplace runs the marketplace (assignments, telemetry, verification). Figures above are guidance, not a contract or closed price list.
FAQ
- How much does a tester campaign cost on Tester Marketplace? Guidance: Play Quota around €99 for ~12–14 testers; Quality + events around €200; Play Integrity is optional and may add cost. Publishers set each campaign’s price — there is no fixed per-tester platform fee.
- Are prices fixed or set by the publisher? Publishers set prices when they publish each campaign (cap, days, rules, tester pay). This page is transparent guidance, not a contractual catalog.
- Is pricing per tester or per campaign? Per campaign: you define cap, duration and rules; the budget covers that run. We do not sell monthly loose-tester packs.
- Is Play Integrity included? Optional per campaign. Use it when fraud or unofficial builds are a risk; it requires build integration and Play Console setup.
